Hello and welcome to my blog.

After writing for The Guardian “Comment is Free”, The Times “Comment Central” and others, I thought to myself, “why not start a blog of my own?”.  I’ll share my published articles and write others here.  I hope you enjoy them.

I’ll also use these pages to promote my writing work.  See the Writing tab above for more information!

About Me

After graduating with a degree in Economics, Finance and Management in 2005, I spent the next 4 years working for Barclays – 3 of them in wealth management for celebrities.  That was fun. But when 2009 happened (you know…financial crisis and all that), I picked up a lovely little redundancy cheque and left Mayfair behind me, not really sure what would happen next.

I joined the London Borough of Redbridge as a Policy Officer and decided to start a Masters at Birkbeck College in Global Governance and Public Policy.  By 2010, I’d moved to the London Borough of Merton, again as a Policy Officer and found myself writing for The Guardian “Comment is Free”, The Vibe and, more recently, The Times “Comment Central”.

I’m still at Merton, still write, recently joined the UK Speechwriters Guild and Toastmasters International.  I am also a Board Member of the UpRising Alumni Advisory Board, advising the UpRising programme of the Young Foundation.

I’m a typical Londoner too: I support Manchester United, dabble in a bit of am-dram and choreograph Bollywood dances.  No, really.  I do.
